Kinder Names Eric Feltner Chief of Staff for Lt. Governor's Office

JEFFERSON CITY – Lt. Governor Peter Kinder announced today that Eric Feltner has been named to serve as the Chief of Staff for Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinders’ office. Feltner replaces Ben Jones who has served as Chief of Staff since January 2005. Jones is now the Director of Public Affairs for Missouri and Kansas for Union Pacific Railroad.

“I am fortunate to be surrounded by professionals such as Eric and Ben and I have great confidence in Eric’s abilities to efficiently run my office” said Lt. Governor Kinder. He added, “I thank Ben Jones for his many years of service and I wish him, his wife Susan and their son Roger all the best.”

“Lt. Governor Kinder is, by all accounts, the most active and resourceful Lieutenant Governor to have ever served our state and I am proud to work for him as he continues his work” said Feltner.  He added, “Peter Kinder is a full-time Lt. Governor who is changing how state government works for our seniors and Missouri Veterans. His efforts to bring the Tour of Missouri pro cycling race to our state showcased his unique abilities to bring various groups together for the common good.”

Feltner previously served as Deputy Lt. Governor. Prior to working in the Lt. Governor’s office, Eric was District Director in Congressman Kenny Hulshof’s office for eight years. Feltner assumed Chief of Staff duties on December 17, 2007.
