Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder and Illinois Lt. Gov Pat Quinn to hold joint press conference at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri National Guard Armory, St. Louis, MO

JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder will be holding a press conference in support of legislation in the Missouri General Assembly to establish the Missouri Military Family Relief Fund.

The fund is designed to assist families of active duty military personnel with unique financial needs. Details of the legislation will be addressed at the press conference.

Illinois Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn has been invited to discuss the success of a similar program in Illinois. In 2003, Lt. Gov. Quinn began the effort in Illinois and will share details and his experiences regarding the program.
