Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder Elected to Chair Missouri Senior Rx Commission
Former St. Rep. Pat Naeger selected as Vice-Chairman
JEFFERSON CITY, MO - - Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder was recently elected to serve as Chairman of the Missouri Senior Rx Commission at a meeting of the Commission held February 2,2005 in Jefferson City. Kinder will head up the twelve member board of health care providers, senior issues advocates, lawmakers and state agency personnel.
"Missouri Senior Rx is a program that has been a tremendous help to thousands of our seniors by providing significant savings on the cost of their prescription drugs" said Lt. Gov. Kinder. Kinder also said, "The enrollment period ends on February 28th, and I want to urge Missouri seniors and their families to check to see if the Senior Rx Program can help them with the cost of their prescription medications. We want to make sure that our seniors receive the help they need."
Former State Rep. Patrick Naeger, a pharmacist from Perryville, was elected to serve as Vice-Chairman. Naeger said, "I see the benefits of this program everyday in the lives of seniors. I have known Lt Gov. Kinder for many years and we have worked together in the Legislature on some key senior healthcare issues. I know that the Lt. Gov and the entire Commission is dedicated to helping seniors with the cost of prescription drugs."
