Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder to Sign SB 396 at Cape Girardeau Airport Terminal

Bill will access to funds available for Air Traffic Control towers

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO — Missouri Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder will be signing into law Senate Bill 396, that will extend the transfer of jet fuel sales tax revenue into the State Aviation Trust Fund. The bill also increases the amount that certain individual airports can receive for air traffic control towers from $125,000 to $167,000 per year.

The extension goes from December 31, 2008 to December 31, 2013.

Sen. Jason Crowell (R-Cape Girardeau) sponsored the bill. Sen. Crowell is unable to attend the bill signing.
