George Washington Carver National Monument

Visit the birthplace of one of America's most well known scientists at the George Washington Carver National Monument. This is the site where Carver grew up. Carver is known for his development of many uses for the peanut and soybean.

The site includes a museum, Discovery Lab and self-guided nature trail. You'll also find the 1881 house of Moses Carver and the Carver cemetery.
